Privacy Policy

This website is run by DG Cities. This privacy policy summarises the key areas of data handling, but if you have any questions, just get in touch with us at [email protected]

Summary

We respect your right to privacy and this policy explains how we collect and treat any information you give us. We’ve tried to spare you legalese and long passages of unfathomable text. We’ve no desire to trick you into agreeing to something you might later regret.

Why we value your privacy

We value your privacy as much as we do our own, so we’re committed to keeping your personal and business information safe.

We’ll never use your personal information for any reason other than why you gave it, and we’ll never give anyone access to it unless we’re forced to by law.

How we collect information

We ask for contact information including your name, company name, email address and phone number via our website, so that we can reply to an enquiry you send us.

We use Google Analytics and Squarespace Analytics to collect information about the way people use our website.

We have a separate data protection privacy notice for participants in our research projects (e.g. if you're completing our surveys, or coming to our trial events). To read it please click here. For more information about DG Cities competition rules, terms and conditions, click here.

We collect your name and email address when you send us a message.

We ask for your account and contact information when you hire services from us.

The information we hold

When you contact us by email or through our website, we collect your name, email address and the company you work for.

If you are a client or supplier, we also retain your business name and bank details for financial processing. We keep records of the invoices we send you and the payments you make within our accounting system.

What we use your information for

We may occasionally use your contact information to send you details of our products and services. When we do, you have the option to unsubscribe from these communications and we won’t send them to you again. We might also email or phone you about our products and services, but if you tell us not to, we won’t get in touch again. We will use your information to send you invoices, statements, or reminders.

We use aggregated survey data in our research which means individual responses are never analysed separately or attributed to you. We also anonymise or pseudonymise data which is collected via research surveys or in focus groups, such as quotes. We do not publish attributed data such as quotes without your direct consent / permissions.

Who has access to information about you

When we store information in our own systems, only the people who need it have access, which is typically just the leadership team and Managing Director running the company.

Changes to the policy

If we change the contents of this policy, those changes will become effective the moment we publish them on our website.
